The Weekly Holiday: week 31

Why hello!  It's week 31.  I can't believe we are into the weeks that have a 3 in front of them.  A "3" people.  This crazy year is getting dangerously close to something that might be considered "flying by."

Let's ease any worries of a speedy year by enjoying Moa's arctic brambles and my coneflower.  Sound all right?  Cool.

Reviewing July

A little boy with no on shirt tells me it's July.
All the food I've eaten, water I've been in, and the flowers I've enjoyed tell that as well.
I've been thinking a lot of a dear friend this month, and hugging my boy so tightly too.
It's been a rich month full of friends, boxes of veggies, an explosion of color, and worries that hope and a cup of tea soothe.  One more month of summer.  It's one foot in front of the other.

The Weekly Holiday: week 30

I've been gathering up feathers this summer, and it seems Moa has been gathering books.  =)

The Weekly Holiday: week 29

It seems Moa's dreary weather, and our heatwave, contributed to our minds focusing on plants last week.  I split my little Africa violets into temporary jars, while Moa bought a new oxalis.

The Weekly Holiday: week 28

It seems we both found our inspiration in the kitchen for the week.
My onions came from our CSA, while Moa proves that Sweden really knows their package design.

The Weekly Holiday: week 27

So, it's Thursday, and I'm still not fully recovered from last week/weekend.  A 4-day, 3 lake weekend can really take it out of a girl.  It's an "embarrassment of riches" kind of thing to think about.  We are so lucky to have so many options for our little fish babe.
Moa had her own kind of luck, a gorgeous view on her way for some ice cream.

See ya in a few days for week 28!

Reviewing June

The return of swimming.  The return of long walks.  The return of FLOWERS everywhere.  We had bakery lunch date and an evening seafood date.  Birthday parties and bonfires.  Went to a baseball game, a graduation, and an amazing bookstore.  All I can think is that it was a GOOD month.  There must be something about June, and long sunny evenings that make "contentment" mandatory.

The Weekly Holiday: week 26

Why yesiree, wooden slats seem to have been apart of week.

The slats of the dock at the lake stood out to me, like they always do, as a small thing I enjoy.  And Moa's pretty heart stone just happens to be sitting on a wooden crate.

Maybe one of these weeks we'll take photos that we can't find a similarity between?  Maaaaaaybe...  But where's the fun in that?

Happy July!
