Give me some light...

Give me some light and some vitamin C please. =) I'm under the weather, but what's new. Well, what's new is that it's good ol' pink eye (times two) this time, plus a swollen throat. What the heck? I know. Sheesh.

Anyways, I'd love to brag that this is what it looks like around here. But the lovely thing about photography is that it captures a narrow point of view when you want it to, hence you don't see the huge mess my house actually is right now. Things are finally coming together though. The to-list is getting smaller. Piles of misplaced items are finding their appropriate rooms, finally! And the nursery is actually starting to take shape.

Ohh, and guess what. Today I started my first quilt for the Bub. =) I've been putting it off because I've been expecting it to be a complete disaster, but so far so good! I brought home the wrong color trim piece (whatever it's really called I don't know) and I've decided I need another color thread for the top stitching, other than that I'm feeling quite proud of myself.

I just cursed myself, didn't I? haha

These treats were my inspiration for "sweet" the word of the week over on Words to Shoot By and I'd give one to each of you if I could. But beware of the red ones. They are chili pepper. Yowza! So instead I'll send you lots of ♥♥♥♥♥♥! ; )

I'm off to become a lump on the couch. We just got back from eating at our fave local Mexican place, and unbelievably, in my pregnant-bloated-and-overall sore state, we also braved the mall to do our traditional Valentine (or sometimes Birthday) perfume shopping date. I came home with this. It's sweeter than I normally go, but I think since I'll soon be out numbered by boys in this house, I need all the girlishness I can find. =)

Hi there! How is your Saturday? Mine is a slow go, but in the meantime I've done a little shopping. I could be wrong, but Saturdays are kind of meant for that it seems. ; ) That's when I stumbled across A Lovely Little Shop.

Names like Parallel Highway, Circling Girl, and Little Victories (how cool, right?) are just the icing on the cake in this shop full of beauties. The image of each necklace had me clicking, clicking, clicking. I settled on this one because I imagine it would be hard not to absentmindedly run my fingers over the beads all day.
