The Apple Orchard

He also spent some time testing out a pumpkin for sturdiness.
The whole thing was just too pretty and too idyllic for words. Like straight out of a fairy tale. I want to go again. Granted I haven't made all the pies I said I was going to out of the apples we brought home, but still. ; )

Happy Sunday!

I'm thrilled to post some photos from a shoot I did today. =) Finding time for it really made for a happy Sunday. And like a good photographer, I chased the light around my house until I found a place suitable to the feel I wanted. Even though I often do this, I forget that most everyone else does as well. I get so carried away by gorgeous images, that I fail to realize that they don't always just "happen." This was brought to my attention again a few weeks ago, after Leslie Shrewing's inspiration boards class, as she talked about finding decent light in her new place.

So, happily I'm writing this post as some golden beets and a pork roast cook away in the oven, and the salad which included the above tomatoes has already been devoured, while the babe screams his funny little shouts, and my wine glass has been refilled.

Mmmmm... a bountiful day. =)

Still here...

I'm still here! Argh does time fly by. I thought that by now, maybe I'd have been able to put together some posts about things that are sitting waiting to share... such as a sweet little portrait I received for Mother's Day (yeah, that was HOW long ago?) or more recently the white button mushroom Halloween costume I'm making for the babe. But my head is still in cloudy momma-land. Will it ever clear up? Is it okay if it doesn't or that I don't really mind if it doesn't for awhile still? =)

I do still think about this blog, and it motivates me to take some photos every now and then of pretty things, and it's of course another place to share a photo or two of the cutest little blue bear I know...
