Here is that glimpse I wrote about a few posts below. Gosh, I tell ya, business cards are harder to design than you'd think! But I'm glad I went back to the drawing board again and again and again. I think, when something doesn't feel right, it pays to keep trying. And I'm also happy with the flexibility that this layout offers. In the future I can change the image on the back, and coordinate the color of the pattern on the front.
So I hear that we might get some frost this week! I think that means I need some pumpkins. I love picking out the perfect ones. Well, maybe the more imperfect the better! And I'm thinking white ones this year... Ohhhhhh! =) And I suppose I better get my bulbs in the ground one of these days. Which reminds me, I need to make a trip to Ikea! Yay! (But who really needs to be reminded to make a trip to Ikea? I'm usually reminding myself to keep driving and to NOT turn in to their parking lot. It's kinda hard though.) But I need to make an Ikea run because as soon as we have a frost I am planning on digging up all my geraniums so that I can overwinter them inside. I think a row of nice pretty white pots on a console table behind my couch will be excellent.
Mmmmmm.... business cards, pumpkins, and Ikea-- oh my! =)
We've been getting a lot of rain lately. All the sad looking flowers that I brought home from "end of season" sales have decided to give it another go, and are putting on a show. Even the random tree mallow that unexpectedly popped up this summer has decided to have a second act. Amongst all it's dead stems a new plant has sprung up with an array of flowers.
I think I could easily find a correlation between all this and myself. I think we all need a good shower or two to renew ourselves. And what's more beautiful and refreshing than the day after the rain, with it's bright blue skies? It makes me feel like anything is possible. That everything is all right with the world. And that we are all clean and beautiful again.
Okay, that was quite mushy, so I'll leave you with this question...
As long as it was before noon, it's okay to call this shot Blue September Morning, right?
Love warm fall days.Love flower clippings.
Love a big container of pinecones.
Love the start of the weekend.
Love my new business cards-- I'll post a glimpse soon!

A little treasury is forming in my house.
Today I picked up a red/orange leaf on my walk home from the post office. The lawns in my neighborhood are suddenly spotted with little jewels. I was reminded that I have a handful of acorns saved from a walk this summer, so I had to dig them out for a shoot. There is also a feather and a ball of puff from the thistle that grew in my backyard. I'm not sure what the plans are for these things. I just like looking at them at the moment. They are my little things.
I don't know what to say.
I've been sidetracked, MIA, otherwise engaged.
Challenged, frustrated, depressed, dealing with it.
I've been happy, hopeful, enjoying summer, letting time fly by too fast.
But I'm back here again. And it's where I want to be.
=)
