The year is coming to an end. Christmas has come and gone. It was wonderful. We made new traditions in our new house. We are more settled than we were last year at this time. There were mountains of snow this December, which is always the month I like snow best. There was also lots of lovely light, which makes the cold much more bearable.I've been making my resolutions for the fast approaching January 1st. And I have some new toys in my camera bag, AND a new camera bag. I'm looking forward to 2009. I'm not sure why. It just seems like it's going to be a good year already. Mmmmmmm... I love when a clean slate lays ahead. Like a fresh blanket of snow.

It's been a long exhausting week. I bet December is just a plain ol' exhausting month for every one of us. There seems like there is just always more on the to-do list. And each thing is something that we really want to do with care. But something always has to give. December just needs to have more days. February has less. Where'd those missing days go? Can't we attach them to December? And while we're at it... can we make Winter only last from Thanksgiving to New Year's? And can I stop getting older each birthday?
I think sleep deprivation is getting to me. =)

It was a snowy day today. Doesn't that make for a perfect Sunday? Waking up on a Sunday morning, after a Saturday night with friends. Finishing up your weekend projects before noon. Making some yummy snacks (a cheese dip) and watching some football cuddled up with your honey. It was all perfection. And so was getting a call that our second niece was born... Mia Rae.
