book corner bliss

Found here.

How great are these shelves? The perfect way to fill a corner if you ask me. Now, if I ever get the time to read another book... that's a whole different story. ; )

Monday with Moa

The other week my friend Moa and I were reminiscing about how much we missed our postcards. I suggested that we make some diptychs this summer. This is our first one. How fitting that even though we didn't plan it, our first photos were of flowers. We are definitely flower loving girls!

Around here the peonies are blooming. They make for lovely walks through the neighborhood. Spring is making me so happy. Each week there is a different scent in the air!

These are my Festiva Maximas. I normally can't bring myself to cut this many flowers for bringing inside, but this particular plant grew too tall before I could get a "peony cage" on it. I gladly cut all the flopped over stems.

Being distracted by Bub has nice side-effects. =)

Somebody

Somebody is growing hair.
Somebody loves the weekends with daddy.
Somebody has a poppy blooming outside their window.

THIS somebody is already in love with June and is looking forward to the unfolding summer.

opening the cabin

memorial weekend has come and gone. the family cabin is open for another summer. a new member visited it for the first time.

i'm happy to be back home now though. and the little guy seems to be happy about it too. he appeared to have recognized that he was back in his little world and was more excited than i've ever seen him. total joy.

here's wishing us all a productive week ahead! =)

words to shoot by

"Mirror" is up over on Words to Shoot By. Check out the interpretations here! I'm so glad to be apart of them.

my star

One of these days I'll probably get back to shooting, get back to all the wonderful things online, get back to business as usual.... but for now, on Sunday nights I do find a little time to stop by and say "hi." I hope you are well. =)

Tonight, Bub and I are thinking of our fellow Minneapolitans who suffered a deadly and destructive tornado this afternoon. Prayers for safety and shelter tonight and for recovery in the weeks ahead.

Finally, Sunday

Sundays finally equal long walks along the creek, sunshine, and flowers once again.

I'm trying to pull the camera back out but I feel like I don't remember how to shoot. I do however, know how to make an impromptu hat for Bub when it seems like the walk might get a tad windy.

(Hint: Long sleeve t-shirt. Note: From the closet, not off my back. Haha!)
